Multi-end and Single-end Winding

What is Multiple end Winding?

Multiple end yarn winding refers to parallel assembly winding of more than one end of twisted or untwisted yarn on a single tube. A common example is assembly-wound or "doubled" yarns used to combine yarns before high speed two-for-one twisting.

Multiple end packages are often used for hose braiding when extra textile yarn coverage is needed for burst strength or protection. Our multiple end packages are designed to be used with dual binder equipment in wire and cable assembly to reduce the number of overall packages needed to bind cables while providing a cross binding pattern around the cable core.

When maximum strength and reliability is needed, multiple-end wound yarn packages are a good choice for to increase the reinforcement coverage and wear resistance for products like yarn reinforced hoses and fiber optic cables.

What is Single-end Winding?

Single-end thread winding is when one yarn strand or thread is wound on a tube, spool, or cone package. When single-end winding is matched with the right equipment, your reward is very high yield.

Service Thread works with specific densities so you always achieve maximum yield and speed, with minimal breakage and minimal run outs. We understand that it’s all about balance and finding the right materials to match your production process. We  supply the best yarns for hose reinforcement equipment, including spiral winders, knitters, and braiders .
